The “Art in Schools” project, implemented by Mus-e Kosova with support from the Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Sports, engaged over 450 children from Mihail Grameno School in Fushë Kosovë and Emin Duraku School in Gjakovë. Designed to foster creativity, collaboration, and social inclusion, the programme used music, painting, and drama as tools to bring children together from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
Two major performances marked the success of the project: an art exhibition at Mihail Grameno School in Fushë Kosovë and an artistic performance at Emin Duraku School in Gjakovë. These events were the culmination of months of creative work and provided a platform for the children to showcase their talents. Zane Abazi, a professional musician, led the music programme and guided students in Fushë Kosovë, while Albulena Bokshi, a talented actress, worked closely with children in Gjakovë to prepare their theatrical performance.
The performances not only highlighted the artistic abilities of the students but also reinforced the role of art in creating a harmonious and inclusive school environment. By involving professional artists, the project offered children a unique opportunity to engage with art in an inspiring and meaningful way. These initiatives have left a lasting impact on the students, their schools, and the wider community, emphasizing the transformative power of art in education.
